Start Task and then work one another and then go back to it

Hi,

How do I setup a task so that it gets started on say 12/1/2005 and then the
resource goes and works on a different task on 12/2/2005. Finally, the
resource returns to the task on 12/3/2005. Is there a way to do this or
would I enter two separate tasks.

Don't try to time manage your tasks in Project: you will spend far more time
than is worthwhile on it. Instead have:

Task1 Duration 2d Resource at 50% units
Task2 Duration 2d Resource at 50% units

Let the resource time manage their work, you just schedule the bigger tasks
and show what has to be achieved on a week by week basis.
