This is my second attempt to post this, because, while my
previous post shows up in the search, it is MISSING from
the newsgroup. It's not the only stationery post missing.
My first search on "stationery" returned several
questions (but no answers) and then, when I searched
again, the messages started disappearing, one by one,
from the search results. Hmmm...Wonder why that is.
I am, unfortunately, using Microsoft Outlook 2003.
I am trying to set up a very very simple stationery, just
something with our logo in the upper lefthand corner.
Simple, right? No, not with MicroSoft. Try flat-out
impossible.
I have tried creating an HTML document (it doesn't
retrieve the image), creating a new image (it tiles it
instead of stretching it), even scanning in our
letterhead (it either tiles it or, because I used another
Microsoft application--image composer--it makes it really
really huge, even thought I told Image Composer that it
was letter size)
I can't even think of a reason why anyone would EVER want
a tiled image as their email background, let alone ALL
THE TIME WITH NO ALTERNATIVE? Not only is it the default,
but there is no visible way to change the default to the
ONLY logical setting (stretch, rather than tile) for any
forseeable application.
Is there a way around this? I don't really think there
is, or the stationery questions wouldn't be disappearing
like this.
