Stop recording macros without the macro toolbar

Is there a way to stop recording a macro using the keyboard? Many of my
students are blind and do not use a mouse. I have not been able to find any
information on how to do this without using the mouse.

Is there a way to stop recording a macro using the keyboard? Many of

find any information on how to do this without using the mouse.

Use the same keystrokes (Alt+T, m, r) that you use to start recording. While
the recorder is running, the Record item in the Tools > Macro menu changes
to Stop Recording, but the accelerator key is still 'r'.
