Strange fonts

I have 2 recurring problems.

1. Sometimes while I am typing my fonts chage to some strange foreign
chineese font and I have to exit publisher.

2. Sometimes publisher crashes loading a publication and I get the dialog
about missing fonts and many strange font names appear and I do not have them
installed. i.e. Batang, MS Mincho, PMingLiU, SimSun, Sandnya, Angsana New.

Is this a virus or something?
