strange formatting character, when pasting from html

Hi,

I pasted some text from an html message to word. I noticed that some groups
of words could not be split to different
lines. I turned on the "backwards P" and noticed that in
between the words in question, exists a little o that hovers
above the line. I must backspace and then use the space bar
to get rid of it.

Is there an explanation about this, and an easy way to get
rid of these in one sweep?
thanks.

Instead of "pasting" in the text, you could try clicking the "Edit" menu,
selecting "Paste Special", and choosing the "Unformatted Text" option.

These are non-breaking spaces - search for ^s replace with space, but Bill's
suggestion will eliminate the problem at source.

This message, as you have learned, is bogus. The Softies in charge of the
Communities portal are trying to troubleshoot this but so far haven't quite
got it licked.
