stuck task -- won't indent further

very frustrated with a task that will outdent but won't indent further. i
downloaded the update that i thought would solve this problem. really
impedes work flow having to deal with this bug. any ideas?

How many indents below the task above do you want? Project only indents one
level at a time.

just one level in to make it a subcategory of task above as usual. have you
never experienced stuck tasks?

No. It can however happen if you have filters applied or the tasks sorted.
Select the filter All tasks
Select Project, Sort, Sort by ID

There was a problem with Project 2003 Standard not outdenting, but the SR
fixed it.
