Sudden Slowdown Opening Word

I have a number of users who suddenly ( today ) began to experience long delays when opening Word 2002 and 2003. Excel and Outlook open quickly, which is the normal state of affairs. All machines have local copies of Office, and are not using network templates. Is anyone aware of any Office, XP or Norton updates in the last day or so which might be responsible ?

OK, it definitely appears to be something horrible in a Norton Antivirus update. Go to Antivurs Options...Miscellaneous and disable the "Enable Office Plug-in". This seems to cure the problem.
