Suddenly not receiving

Today I'm not receiving e-mails through OutlookXP. I can
send and receive to myself but I'm not receiving e-mails
from others. I haven't changed anything. I don't even
know where to start looking.

I'm posting this from Microsoft's site because my Outlook
Express doesn't seem to be working properly either. I
posted a message in a newsgroup and it never showed up.
So I went to Microsoft's Community Newsgroups and it was
there with a response.

I went to my ISP's website, logged on, and there are no
messages there. Could it be my ISP has a problem?

Can anyone tell me where to start looking?

Thanks,
Debbie

If you posted to a ng, using the OE newsreader, then see the post using the
web interface, then OE is working.
A post may take time to appear, or you may not be refreshing the ng.
If, in OL, you can send successfull test msgs to yourself then OL is
functioning. Check for rules that may be affecting incoming msgs, check
blocked senders list, check Deleted Folder, check the view settings in OL.
I'm assuming others have been emailing you, and I assume that they havent
being receiving any 'undeliverable' msgs

I just tried to "Send and Receive" in Outlook XP and got
this error message:

Task AccessUS - Sending and Receiving reported error
(0x800CCCOF). The Connection to the server was
interrupted.

I tried to check newsgroups in Outlook Express and got
this error message:

The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the
server. Error Number 0x800CCCOF

I can get to my messages through my ISP's website and I
can obviously get to the newsgroups through Microsoft's
website. I did a "Detect and Repair" while in Outlook.

What do I need to check?

Thanks,
Debbie
