Suddenly Stops Auto Send/Receive

My Outlook XP suddenly stopped doing a Send/Receive every 5 min as it
is set to do. I've checked all my setup options and they are exactly
as they always were - checked to do a Send/Receive every 5 min. If I
type a message and send it - it sends immediately - that is - i dont
need to do a send receive - it just sends it. I am always online - so
that is not a problem.
Except for reinstalling Outlook - which I really do not want to do-
can anyone suggest a solution. This one is for real pro's.
Perplexed.

Try removing the Send/Receive settings and then re-set them. I'd remove,
close Outlook, re-open Outlook, and finally reset the settings.
