Summary Bar to Show progress

Hi,

How do I get the summary bar which is normally black with two triangles in
each end, to show the black progress bar on a blue background like it does in
the normal task field where you add progress?

Hi moseid,

The progress is shown on the summary task unde the view "Tracking Gantt".
If you really do want it to show in the Gantt chart, then you need to format
the bar for Summary progress, under format, bar styles. Just select the
finish as "summary progress" and set the pattern and type of bar to suit your
needs.

Hope this helps

Hi Joe

The black bar that you see with a normal bar is the 'Baseline bar' for that
task and shows its baseline status, whereas blue bar is the actual bar which
shows the actual status of the task.

For Summary bars also baseline bar is created and those are white in colour.
These two bars get superimposed, so initially we do not see the white bar.
But, after you input the actual project status data, if the project is
getting delayed, the black summary bar will move ahead and then you will see
the white baseline for Summary bar behind it.

If you like you may change the shape of these bars through Format > Bar
styles.

I hope it helps.
