SUPPRESS PRINTING MESSAGE

R

RIPS

Hi

I have a till display pole plugged into my serial port.
Currently I print a report to a generic text printer (the pole) and the till
pole displays the message as per my report.
I would like to suppress the print confirmation box that flips up on the
screen for a second or so (printing to printer blah blah etc etc) when these
reports are printed.

The reason being as the user performs certain actions, different reports are
printed to the "pole" almost in the background as it were (just to keep the
customer informed) and the little screen print messages are a pain....

Obviously if I could send messages directly to the serial port - I could get
round this whole issue.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks for the pointer.

I have all ready been there and tried it, but it doesn't stop the problem -
I think the print job I send is so small and results in the message only
popping up for a milli second. Too quickly for that modal form solution to
work (

Once again thanks for taking the time to answer. If you have any more
thoughts I would be very grateful

Cheers
