I use MS Project 2003. The symbol for illustrating that there are indented
tasks used to be a + sign with a box around it. Now it is simply a + sign
with now box around it. When I click on the + sign, the subtasks are
displayed, but instead of a - sign with a box around it, simply a - sign is
displayed. Restore the outline symbols back to a + with a box around it and
a - sign with a box around it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Mike;

It actually happens even when I start a new project with just two
activity lines...so not a very bloated file...

Hi Robert,

We need to discover whether it is Project at fault, or whether it's your PC.
Does it occur with this project on other PCs? If you have no other PC, as
it sounds like corruption within Project, try re-installing Project.

Hi Mike,

I have re-installed Project and I still have the same problem.

I notice that my customized menus are still the same so it doesn't look like
when I uninstall it that it is erasing everything associated with Project
2003. How do I totally uninstall everything associated with Project 2003?

I only can be certain of the uninstall via control panel. You could delete
any Project program folders and you could delve into the registry, but I
would have thought that that would be unlikely cause of your problem. Do
you have anothe PC to try out? I suppose it could be a font problem, or
Windows setting or even a graphics problem. However, it sounds as if you'll
just have to live with it,
