Symbols change in PowerPoint 2003

Files created in PowerPoint 2002, using monotype sorts numbers as bullets,
change into other symbols when opened in PP 2003.

The PP files were created on another PC with Office 2002, and also worked on
PC's that had Word 2000, WinXP, then installed Office 2003, but it doesn't
work on new laptops XP with Office 2003. Can't change the fonts as there are
numerous pages in many files created by someone else, and I have to work with
them. Cindy

Yes, you can add that font if you have a product that included Monotype
Sorts - as per this page:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;837463

Office 97 was the last version that included Monotype Sorts.

You can buy Monotype Sorts from Monotype Imaging at:

http://www.fonts.com/findfonts/detail.htm?pid=205653&grab_id=0&page_id=9564&query=monotype sorts

For the price of that font, you might be able to buy a full copy of any of
the Microsoft products that includes Monotype Sorts (look on eBay):

http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/font.aspx?FID=125&FNAME=Monotype Sorts&FVER=1.01

Have a nice day.

Thanks to you both for the help. I do own a copy of Office 97 so will give
it a go. Have to wonder now who else is having this problem as these files
are sent to other groups to print off and use.
