Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop When I had office 2004 to be able to use email on my Powerbook and my office computer I simply copied the Identity folder from one computer to the other over Firewire. This kept everything in sync. The folder was found in the Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/. When I do the same in office 2008 the computer that receives the file claims the data base is corrupt and needs to be rebuilt.

Why does it not work any more!!!???

There's nothing you're doing wrong and it is a method to keep things
in sync. Your DB though is probably corrupt. Ent08 operates at a much
deeper level than 04 when identifying corruption and that's one reason
rebuild often doesn't work. I would though first try rebuilding the DB
to get rid of the corruption. If that doesn't work you'll have to
create a new identity and export all you info from the old identity to
the new.

Now if its just mail you're trying to keep in sync using IMAP as
opposed to pop mail is your best solution. There's a number of good
IMAP systems including Google, Fastmail, mobileme etc
