Synch without ActiveSync

I need to synchronize my PocketPC without using Active Sync. My IT dept at
work has forbidden synchronizing computers with PocketPC devices. They have
no problem with the concept of synchronizing calndars, but disallow the
hookup of any personal computers to our work systems due to security concerns.
What I am hoping for is a simple file with all my calendar appointments that
I can transfer to my pocketPC via email or through the use of an SD or CF
card. The idea being that I could then just copy the file over to my
PocketPC and it would install and update my calendar. Being able to do it
the other way (PPC to computer) would be very helpful as well. My PPC is a
Dell Axim X51v running Wondows Modile 5.0.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Alex

There is no such file to transfer. The database kept by Pocket Outlook
bears no resemblance to that kept by Outlook. At the very least, you'd have
to write "sync" software that would convert data from Outlook into something
the PDA could use so you could store it on the memory card and I don't
recall ever seeing documentation outlining the format Windows Mobile uses.

Besides, you'd still be violating the spirit of the company rule.
