Syntax error 5.5.2

5.5.2 Syntax error c78sm2751422hsa.6

I'm receiving this error every time mail is automatically sent/
received, however, mail still comes through and goes out.

It also says:

Mail could not be sent.

Account name: "CK Gmail"

Error: -17099

What's the meaning of this? And, why can't I make it stop. I called MS
and they said it had something to do with my ISP, but that doesn't
make sense to me since I'm going in between WiFi hotspots and still
getting the same error message.

Anyone else out there experiencing this and what can be done about it?
THank you!

(from original author): I'm using Entourage 2008 with IMAP forwarding
from Gmail. Thank you.

WiFi might be the clue. Perhaps your ISP is seeing your account being
relayed and is rejection it. What are you using for SMTP?

Generally this error has to do with sending to large recipients.
