Table Cells Fill Colour

H

Is microsoft aware of the following problem or is it just me?

In powerpoint 2008 for Mac, when you insert a table and select cells within that table, the drop down menu in the toolbox from Borders and Shading includes a shading option.

When i try to shade the desired cells using this icon, and the icon in the Tables and Borders Toolbar, it changes the font colour but leaves the cell in its original colour. The only way i can shade the desired cells is to go into the Format table... option when i two finger click on the cells (MacBook)

Yeah, I'm afraid this is a known bug. MS is aware but as yet there is no
fix... Perhaps in an upcoming update:) In the meantime you've found the
best workaround - use the Format Table dialog.

Hi,

You can still get the shading in Word 2008. Make the table in Word, format
it there, then copy and paste it into PowerPoint.

This is also discussed in the thread "Table Shading bug?" that started later
on 2/22. Thanks for your feedback. :)
