table column widths

hi

I actually have frontpage98. After inserting a table I
want 3 columns of various sizes. The problem is when you
add text to the cells the columns will resize instead
word wrapping.

A reply I got before says columns will resize with long
words for eg. setting column width to any value like 30%
doesnt fix them to that size as that is only the minimum.

I do set the column width (3 cols) to say 15% 30% 55%
and I dont want them resized at all and any
circumstances...can this be done?

No, if you put an image or continuous text that is larger
than the cell, the cell will adjust.

Try setting the cell to pixels and don't put any image or
continues text that is lager the pixels.

the problem is I have text longer than the cell. I think
I will create the tables in MS word then save as a .htm .
those tables are fixed.
there must be a way to do this in frontpage .
Another thing that may sound weird, my mouse doesnt work
so I am using the frontpage by keypad only. I cant simply
resize the table with a mouse.....old serial mouse and i
cant find another 1.

MS Word tables in html are no more fixed than other html tables

Tables / Cell sizes are minimums and will expand to fit content
(or the cell content will wrap if you use fixed px table/cells and the content is text w/ spaces that allow word wrapping)
