Table of Content

I am writing a code to update my Table of content and
table of figues. My coding is updating all page numbers
and new headings but in table of figures it doesnèt update
values which are linked with text. I can update it by
right clicking it and selecting update whole table options
but it doesnèt update when macro runs. Is it possible to
do what I am trying or not.

Hi Ameet,

For most fields, something like ActiveDocument.Fields.Update
will update them. But for tables of contents you need
ActiveDocument.TablesOfContents(1).Update
ActiveDocument.TablesOfFigures(1).Update
