I would like to copy the table of contents for several documents and put them together as one, at the moment I get 'Error! Bookmark not defined'. Does anyone know how I can get round this

Many thanks

If you want to build a 'live' table of contents in one document that
references others, you need to use the RD field to identify the documents to
include. Details in Word Help.

If on the other hand all you need to do is put together a file with the
current *text* of a TOC, you need to unlink (Ctrl-Shift-F9) or temporatily
lock (Ctrl F11 - Ctrl-Shift-F11 to unlock) the field values, so they don't
update in the combined document.
