How do I make a table of contents in powerpoint 2008 for mac?

PPt does not have a Table of Contents feature. You can create what is called
a Summary Slide in the PC version but I can't recall whether the Mac version
has that feature or not. Go to Slide Sorter view & see if a button that looks
like telescoping slides appears on the toolbar or search the Help for Summary
Slide... I'd be glad to check for you but won't be near my Macs until later
in the day.

Just checked & 2008 does not have the Summary Slide option - sorry.

You can create a TOC slide manually, of course, and even hyperlink to the
respective slides. Another option is to view the slide shoe using File> Web
Page Preview which will provide a navigation panel on the left.
