Tables in Frontpage

I have been creating tables in Frontpage.

In the Normal view on a web page, I am able (with difficulty) able to create
the table I would like to see in a browser.

But when I select "Preview" or view the page in a browser, column widths and
other attributes of the table are entirely different.

How do I keep the properties of the table constant so that what I see during
table development is the same as what I see when the table is displayed.

Thanks for any ideas.

Set your FrontPage design window to the same dimensions as your browser view port.
With a page open in design view, check the bottom right of the screen in the area just
above the system tray ( place where the clock lives )
You should see a small rectangle displaying 760 x 420 or something similar.

Double click that little rectangle and select the design window size you want from the pop
up.

Thanks for the reply.

But I have still troubles.

It may be because I have Frontpage 2002 rather than 2003.

I have a "Page View" but no mention of "Deisgn View".

And there is a rectangle at the bottom, but it simply shows the Frontpage
icon and does nothing when I click on it.

Is there some other way of resetting the view port?

Thanks again.

Hmm,

I have FrontPage 2002 and I find that FP does not display the same as a browser. In fact it is/was annoying me for quite a while
that a simple table column with a zero width filler caused the whole of the page to move a long way over to the right (but only in
FP, not when viewed in a browser).

Perhaps you could view in a browser within FP
Menu Option
File|Preview in Browser

When I do this, it shows both browsers that I have installed - IE6 and Firefox - and I can choose either.

I just noticed a Preview tab and this also opened the page in IE6 (I guess this is my default browser.). But this may have only
appeared because I previously used the "Preview in Browser" menu option
