Take over of format in Gantt Charts

Dear Project Users,

I have an issue when I try to take over (i.e. cut and paste) tasks from
one project to the
other. Apparently any kind of formatting of the bars is not taken over.
I have tried copy and paste, all kinds of special paste and insert
project.

In no case the formatting is taken over.

Is there any kind of workaround for this kind of problem or is this the
natural behaviour
of MS Project ?

Hi

You can copy the view using the organiser between the projects. this carries
the formatting over ... copying the tasks in no way copies Gantt formatting

Open both projects

Select the views tab

Copy the view from the original project into the new project
Copy to the global.mpt if you want the formatting available to all of your
projects
