Task Bar Sizes

When I flip over to the calendar view, some of the task durations are so
short (1 hour) that the full task name is not displayed. I've tried wrapping
but the format is still not acceptable as it creates a really long
(vertically) task bar and this is also not a very visually friendly format.
I also tried lengthening the size of the task bar but it lengthens the
duration of the task. I'd like to be able to format these very narrow bars
without affecting duration and still be able to see the full, or better part
of, task name. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ruthann

RA,
Well, you are trying to cram ten pounds of stuff in a five pound bag.
The Calendar view is not meant to display a lot of information. As you
found out lengthening the task bar increases the duration. That's
because the task bar is simply a graphical representation of the Task
Duration.

I suggest you do the following. Set up a spare Task Text field (e.g.
Text1) for a shorthand notation of the full task name. Then set up the
task bar text to be that of the spare field.

Hope this helps.

Thanks John. I'll give that a try.
