Task List Setting

Me

To start off, I am a novice Project user:

When using outlining to structure task lists, the indented subtasks are
tabbed approximatley six characters over. This used to be three characters.

On the surface this may not seem significant, but viewing and reporting
projects with a task hierarchy involving several levels of summary tasks, the
task column takes up a lot of screen or paper space, which limits the space
available for additional information.

Is there a way to change this setting?

This is the first time I have used Project since June, and as far as I know
I did not change any Project settings.

Edit: Microsoft Project 2000 9.0.2001.0219 SR-1

Thank you in advance.

Me,
As far as I know the indent is controlled by Windows - there is no
setting in the Project application to change it. Furthermore, I've
looked at various Windows setting and I have yet to find any way to
change the indent.

You could save some space by either eliminating the indenting altogether
and perhaps adding the Outline Level field as a column at the far left,
or at least eliminate the outline symbol (Tools/Options/View tab).

Hope this helps.

I will try that.

If that doesn't do anything, I'm going to ask if I can recreate my Windows
profile.

Saying it could be a Windows issue jogged my memory about weird things such
as this sometimes being related to Windows profile issues.

Thanks for your reply!
