When I mark a task 25% using the tracking toolbar, and then I click the 50%
it continues to split the task. Why is this?

Hi Mike! I found out the problem. I had the current date set to the wrong
date so that was why it was splitting it up! WHen I go to the task sheet in
tracking gantt view and enter 100% complete my remaining duration is in a
decimal format. Do you know why this could be?

I'm not quite with you here. If it is 100% Complete there is no remaining
Duration. Try the reverse - enter Actual Work and Remaining work and let
Project calculate the % Complete.
