Hi All,
Can anyone please advise on the best means to represent the following
scenario.
I have a resourced task scheduled to last 1 week, task type: duration, with
20 hrs assigned. The task finishes on time but consumes only 15 hours. The
% complete calculates this at 75% complete, where as in reality the task is
100% complete.
I've tried two different methods to update the % complete:
1) Manaually input this into the % Complete. However, when I input 100% the
actual work increases.
2) I've entered the actual work into the the task usage sheet. However, MS
Project recalculates the scheduled duration. Presumably, the applications
assumes the remaining work will be consumed at some point in the future.
Can anyone advise on the best method to handle this scenario? Can I
complete a tasks within fewer hours against that baselined and represent this
as 100%?
TIA - Hardip
