tasks/due dates

(1)I use outlook from office 2000 with xp home.

A new problem: when I enter a task, e.g., "call sam
tomorrow," or "call sam on Sept. 10" nothing at all gets
entered into the 'due date' column.

I make the entries from the simple opening page, and not
the full info window.

Do you create it from the Tasks or Calendar folder? When you enter a "quick
task" with Tasks you can enter the duedate in the column on the right by
clicking the dropdown icon to open a little calendar. When you create a task
in Calendar you can only enter the task not the due date. To do this you
have to open the item.

Hope this helps!
