templates made permanent

Using the Microsoft works word processor, I'm trying to
create a template document to be used by construction
crews as a daily job sheet. I believe I have followed
the correct procedure, but when I open the template and
try to add text to different parts of the document, i.e.
an address, the lines on the template shift and so does
everything else. I don't know how to prevent this. I
thought a template would be a permanent form that we
could then type information into and then print out for
each day's activities. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't know what you're trying to do; it appears you are
trying to have them fill out a FORM. There are two
possibilities: 1) try using the OVERWRITE rather than the
INSERT mode (hit the insert key once to go to overwrite;
hit it again to toggle back to insert).
Another possibility is to create a form with pull down
windows. I know that is possible but I don't know how to
do it.
