Text box: explain advanced layout "inside/outside relative to __".

I can't understand what effect these drop downs have on vertical text box
alignment. What is meant by inside and outside? When setting alignment
relative to line, what is meant by top/bottom/centred? This makes sense for
page (because you can cnetre something vertically on a page, say), but I
don't see how it applies to line. I've experimented with all of these and
keep missing the boat. Thanks. Eric

Inside and outside are relevant if you are using mirror margins. Just a
little experimentation should show you the difference between Top, Center,
and Bottom Relative to Line. In the first instance, the top of the text box
is aligned with the line where it is anchored. In the other cases, the
bottom of the text box rests on the line, or the text box is centered on the
line.
