Text Box Jumping in Word 2000

Hello -

I am trying to lock a text box and picture box to the
first page of a document. The layout is fine on the first
page. However, when you have enough text and spacing to
go to the next page, the boxes jump down to the second
page. Is there any way to stop them from doing this?

If you have the text box and graphic anchored to an empty paragraph, then
when you press Enter to insert a new paragraph or Ctrl+Enter to insert a
page break, these are inserted above the paragraph to which your text box
and graphic are anchored. Type a space in the empty paragraph and then press
Enter/Ctrl+Enter, and the objects should stay on the first page.
