I've changed the text box margins, saved the file and
closed the file. But when I reopen the file, the changes
are not there. What gives?!?

This issue is unknown in Publisher any version.

If you mean it is not saving the defaults on next Text Frames, Publisher
does not between versions 98, 2000, 2002 and you need the freeware add-in
for 2003 which still needs to be re-set next time you open the Publisher
file.

Haven't you used the Registry feature? Or won't it work for you?

1. The freeware add-in works with and is designed for
Microsoft Publisher 2002 as well.

2. You don't need to reset all your defaults with the
addin, you just need to click a button that automatically
loads your defaults that were saved.

Ed, to be quite honest, as I always am, no, I cannot say I have.

I must try it in Pub2002 since I have done a *FULL* clean install of Win XP
Pro. I just *LOVE* XP
