text box validation error FP2000

Yes, I am still using FP2000... I am trying to set up a simple form for
visitor inquiries to me from my site, using text boxes for name and visitor's
email address, radio buttons to select their general subject of inquiry, a
drop down to let me know a little about who they are, and another text box
for their message, with a submit button.

In each instance of double clicking the text boxes (only), bringing me to
the 'text box properties' screen, upon clicking either 'OK' or 'validate' I
get an error message stating "The control's name is not a valid identifier
for scripting languages. Consequently, any script that FrontPage generates
may not work properly. Before specifying validation criteria, please change
the control's name so that it starts with a letter, and subsequent characters
are letters (A-Z and a-z), digits (09) or underscore(*_*). Note: the letters
must be ASCII; ectended characters are not allowed." Whew.

OK, all that being said, the form still works, as it does email me with all
the visitor's information as I have requested it. BUT, when the page loads in
the browser (I am using IE6), I get two debug errors...

1) when the page loads, the first gives a runtime error - that at line 16, a
')' is expected. whether or not I choose to debug still allows the page to
load after cancelling the message...

2) upon clicking 'submit', whether or not the page is filled out correctly,
another runtime error says 'Line 120, Object Expected'

I'd appreciate any help - I'm a novice so please be easy on me... :)
I've never created a form before.
I am just creating this to get the form part right, and will incorporate it
into another page once I get it the way I want it and working.
Here is the link if it will help

I also will want to create a special page for the validation errors, but
that will come after I get to know more about forms - any easy info you could
give there would also be appreciated.
Thanks.

Remove all spaces from form field names. Replace them with underline
characters. The error message said this in different words.
