text inside a text box is not printing properly

I am using microsoft word in microsoft office xp professional. I have always
been able to print documents perfectly. However, when I print a document now,
the text prints out perfectly except for any text inside a text box. Text
inside text boxes appears to be 'double-focused' or looks as if it has been
'smudged'. I've been communicating with the printer manufacturer (HP) and
tried all the options they suggested such as inserting new cartridges,
cleaning cartridges, re-setting default printer, etc. They have concluded
that the printer is working fine, and that the problem stems from the
specific application i am printing from (i.e. microsoft word). Any
suggestions as to why only text inside a text box is not printing properly?

Hi, Tazlil,

When you say "now", do you mean that this just started? What changes have
you recently made to your system (new software installed)?

Does it matter what font you use in the text box? Does it do the same thing
with images in text boxes?

Have you tried to repair the Office installation by re-running setup?
