Text line added as auto-complete with "==="

I have wrestled with this problem for a long time and
cannot find how to delete the line that is added as an
auto-complete with, e.g., "====" ... it adds a symbol line
from margin to margin and will not delete ... it is not a
drawing object. Can anyone help?

To stop: "Tools", "AutoCorrect options", "Autoformat as you type" TAB,
uncheck "Border lines".

To remove existing: Place your cursor in the paragraph (above the line),
click "Format", "Borders and shading", click the "Borders" TAB, click the
"None" option.
