Text manipulation

This is a really silly problem, but I just don't seem to be able to get it
to function correctly. I have a WEB site with three frames, no problem so
far. I want to create a text area on one of the forms and display a value
from another form into this area, e.g. at the main page the field may read
'main menu'. If another page is selected the value would be changed to
reflect the new page.

Any advise would be appreciated.
