text too small

I created a year-long schedule that I printed on a 3' x 2' arch D-sized
paper. My client likes having the schedule on one page but he can't read the
text as it's too small.

I'm going to enlarge the text in the task information cells, but will the
name that is to the right of the bar on the Gantt chart also enlarge in a
equivalent way?

Please respond right away as I have to turn this around by the morning.
Thank you.

Hi swell,

The big problem is that in fitting a schedule to one page, the text and
everything else will scale down to fit on the page. So even though you make
the text larger, it will still scale back down to fit on one page.

If you let the schedule go to 100%, how many pages down and across does that
give you. If it is more than 2 then you will find the text size
significantly reduced when fitting it on one page.

Do you need to show all tasks, can you reduce the period over which the
schedule is printed? These will all help to increase the size of the
schedule on the paper.

Hope this helps

Swell,
To answer your question directly, no, the font size in the Name field
can be set independent of the font size displayed in text next to Gantt
Bars.

To set the font size of the Name field, select the whole column
containing the Task Name. Then go to Format/Font and select the font
style, size and color you want.

To set the font size of the Gantt Bar text, go to Format/Text Styles.
Select the "Item to Change" to be the bar text location you are using.
Then set the font style, size and color you want.

Hope this helps.

Thank all of you for helping me on this issue of print size. I was
successful printing a year-long schedule to a single page, but I'm having
problems doing it consistently. I used the Properties feature in Adobe
Acrobat Professional to select a custom size of 3' x 2'. I selected 12 pt.
as the font size in Project and the schedule turned out exactly how I wanted
it.

After this good experience I tried to do the same exact thing for another
schedule that was actually shorter than the first by several months and the
print-out was unreadable - the text size too small. I used the same settings
as the 1st schedule so I'm mystified.

Is there any way of telling in Adobe Acrobat if the print size is too small
without actually printing it? A 3' x 2' schedule costs $6 retial to have it
printed it out and that gets pricey when you're using trial and error.

Thank you in advance for your response to my question. Chris the swell
