Ok, here is another useless tool in the InfoPath SDK, I am getting used to
the idea "what you have been told, is not what you will get" and here is the
clearest example.
1- Open Microsoft Word.
2- Create a new document.
3- Save it as html.
4- Save another copy as filtered html.
5- Open the convertToXHTML tool / web page from the sdk.
6- The web page does not work (Win2000 full updated) expected, it's
Microsoft!
7- Go to the internet, to this url,
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...l/ipsdkUsingTheHTMLToXHTMLTool_HV01081783.asp
8- Write the html to xhtml conversion script manually, as it says in the
web site.
9- Review the xhtml results file.
Now, create a rich text form in InfoPath (one with a rich text box), save
it, open it using notepad, and replace the text of the rich text box with
the just created xhtml
It does not work, because it starts with the tags html, body, style, etc
tons of thinks not supported by InfoPath.
And the tool says
"The Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 Software Development Kit (SDK) HTML to
XHTML conversion tool allows you to convert regular HTML into well-formed
XHTML that can be edited in an InfoPath form."
Yep, right
So, what is the point of releasing this tool? I know, it's for people like
me to make fun of it
