Hi there
I am working with Office 2003 and XP with a pentium and masses of ram and
hard drive space .
I have been trying to run the "detect and repair" utility on Outlook and
also trying to update my Office 2003 program so that it runs MS Publisher
that i am trying to add from the Office master disk and all i am getting is
this warning message which doesnt make much sense as i have been running this
Office prog for years .
Any ideas guys ?
thanks

It works for any app that uses the windows installer, 'broadly speaking' it
fools your sys into believing the app hasnt been installed, you can then
reinstall / repair

So i wont have to reinstall and it works with student and teacher edition
office 2003 ?

It works with *any app* that uses the windows installer, which as far as I'm
aware means all MS apps

Why are you concerned about reinstalling / repairing? niether has any impact
on data files, allthough a backup of data is allways reccommended

Tried this get a message that the file is corrupt and to use the original disk. Which of course doesn't work since that just errors out too.
