Occasionally I receive the following error message when exiting Outlook 2003.
I also receive repeat emails.

Can anyone offer any suggestions or help? Thanks!

The instruction at “0x7c910e03†referenced memory at “0x00000000â€. The
memory could not be “writtenâ€.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

When I experienced similar msgs it transpired that the sys memory was
failing. Allthough the err.msgs were not OL specific.
Perhaps try memtest86 and run it for a period, over several loops.

Thank you. I tried running that several times as well as contacting the new
laptop’s manufacture. The results ended with the checking out o.k.

I did a little research in the knowledge base and found some “vague†info
about a possible corrupt file that is written to when outlook closes?? I
can’t seem to relocate the info and thus the reason for my post here.

There is a similar KB but this refers to win2k server
Perhaps try/experiment with a new OL profile and data file.

Thanks!
Found some dated info discussing renaming the .log file. Where would I find
the filenames for the profile and data file? Also, will this cause any ill
effects...i guess more of an effect then I have now!

Also found some notes about closing the "Ad-In's for OL??? Trying this now
to see if the error stops.

With OL closed
Mail Applet, in Control Panel, to create new profile and add new data file.
Set it to prompt for Profile.
This will give you a clean OL data file (pst) Experiment with this. If error
gone, in OL File>open>Data File ... browse to old pst. Copy data from old
pst to new (Do NOT import). Close old pst and re test
