the newsletter is blurry

Hi!

I tried to develop a newsletter with Publisher. It is quite easy to use and
I had no no problems at all until I tried to send it per e-mail (I have
outlook 2003), i.e. in order to test my newsletter, I sent it to myself. But:
the text was really blurry. Especially all the hyperlinks are not shown
clearly.

I would not like to send the newsletter via attachment - so pdf is not
really an option for me. How can I improve my newsletter? Can I send a
newsletter directly via smtp without using Outlook?

The reason the text is blurry is the newsletter has been converted to an
image. Try to copy some of the text, and you will see that you can't.

Question; do all of your recipients have your release of Publisher? If not
they will not be able to open a .pub file. A pdf is much smaller. I send a
club newsletter created in Publisher and converted to pdf each month via an

Your other alternative would be to create an HTML newsletter via FrontPage.
I create one of this type for over 1,500 recipients on a sporadic basis.

Note that the first one (pdf) ranges from 25 to 35 pages and is usually
printed by the recipient, while the second is not deliniated by page but is
essentially one long HTML e-mail. It is only occasionally printed.

admittedly, I have never tried FrontPage, but... I would need to buy it...

The newsletter gets blurry when I receive it. While using publisher 2003 and
in the "website-preview" it is perfect. I have tried to send it via both,
Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express. But... no chance.

To your suggestions:

a. I would not like to send it via pdf. I have already tried it and I know
that I have less problems doing so, but I still prefer the html-based e-mail
letter.

b. I am sending the newsletter as an html-based e-mail. I do not attach it
and I do not send it as jpeg, nor as pub.

Btw, I really thank you for responding my questions!
