the password setting is not saved when you connect to a pop3 server

Don't know if anyone can help but i'm having a problem
with outlook 2003 it won't save passwords. I've been to
hte MS KB done whats suggested in kb290684 that hasn't
made any difference. Anyone got any bright ideas apart
from a full rebuild
running win2k office basic 2003

The problem is with 2 laptops out of a batch of 7 all sp'd
and patched to the same level, other 5 working fine
