The reply and forward arrows are not showing anymore

Our CEO had 'automatic formatting' turned on (apparently) when we moved her
over to 2003 this week. She still likes that some emails arrive in larger
fonts or different colors. But, it appears as though that THOSE particular
emails are *NOT* allowing the reply and forward arrows to appear next to the
envelope icon in her inbox.

Please help, if possible. Thanks.
