Time in OLAP by day doesn't match plan (totals do match)

I've been using MSP and the Portfolio Analyzer for years and I've never seen
this:
I have a plan where the total hours in the plan match what is in the OLAP
cube, the total time by resource also matches, BUT the daily entries are WAY
off. The problem is that we report our time monthly. I cannot figure out what
the problem may be; here are some details:

MSP 2003 system
We use managed time-periods and I have forced a sync with protected
actuals... I've even deleted the time out of the Resource Usage view table
and then forced a sync with actuals and then republished assignments (trying
to repopulate the Project tables). Then re-run the cube. No luck.
I created a new cube wondering if the current cube is corrupt. Same exact
data appeared in the new cube.

My only other thought is to save the file offline, delete it from the DB,
import, rebublish & overwrite existing timesheets. This is a general
activities plan that has tons of users though and I was hoping to avoid that.

Any other thoughts?

Sorry, should have watched my terminology... when I said "general activities"
I just meant that this is the plan that we use to track all of our non-work
request specific activities (so it has ~200 resources assigned to about 15
tasks that run the entire year); it's not a General Activities plan by MSP
definition. I would understand if the work was spread out across the duration
but this is the actual work that isn't matching up.

If I go to the Resource Usage view and look at the resources and their
tasks, the actual work is exactly as they have entered into their timesheets.
But the OLAP data doesn't line up with these numbers except in total. And
that's odd because it's not like the actual work is spread out evenly or
anything... literally there are completely different entries by day in the
OLAP data and the only thing that lines up is the total by resource and total
amount of actual work in the plan. I have been scratching my head over this
for a week... it just doesn't make any sense.

This plan is setup the same way we've always setup our plans and I've never
seen this happen before- and believe me, I've seen just about everything that
can go wrong in MSP at this point! :)

Unfortunately I can't ignore the issue since the totals by month aren't
correct and we have to submit monthly invoices based on the actuals recorded,
plus we run a comparison between the MSP time and the time entered in our
corporate time-tracking system to ensure that everyone is entering all of
their time in both systems... this is what lead me to investigate the problem.

Thanks for your time.

I did as stated to fix the binary corruption issue. It worked- well, sorta :)

The data is still 'off' in the original OLAP Cube. But I re-ran the 'new'
cube that I created the other day (which, by the way, has the same exact
specs as the original cube) and the time is now correct in the new one.

So I thought maybe just the original view is corrupt. I re-ran the original
cube, created a new view attached to the original cube and the data is still
off. Is it possible that the cube data in the original cube is just corrupted
and it's not updating properly? Can I wipe out the original cube and then
kick it off so it will re-generate the tables from scratch? Is that as simple
as deleting the cube from Analysis Services or do I have to clear out SQL
tables as well? I don't really want to have to switch all the existing views
to the new cube name, but at this point I've already wasted so much time that
I think it might be worth it if I can get good data out of it.

Thanks again for your help- at least I know a solution is within reach now!
