timeouts in Outlook

I had Outlook Express and it worked fine with my dial-up
connection, leaving me online for up to 30 minutes even
when inactive.

I just got Outlook 2002 and installed it, and now my
connection is automatically cancelled right after I
receive my e-mail! I've checked all the menu options and
don't see a place to set the time delay before
disconnecting. How do I solve this problem?

I think if you can solve your problem by clicking on Tools, then Options. Click on the Mail Setup tab (not the Email Options button)

At the bottom of that window un-select the 'hangup when finished with manual send/receive'.
