Is it possible to have a PowerPoint presentation to start at a predetermined
time?
Meaning system computer is timed to start and stop a presentation and then
next day start a new presentation through PowerPoint?

This helped a little the program starts but the presatation doesn't run. I am
trying to have both the PowerPoint program come up and the presatation start
its timed run also. Is this possible?

In your control panel select "Scheduled tasks" and set a time to fire off
your presentation. Rename your presentation with the "pps" file extension
(mypresentation.pps) so that it runs automatically without the PowerPoint
edit mode.

The presentation will start, run, and close automatically.

By default, PowerPoint saves your file as "myfile.ppt". If opened, this
opens in "Edit Mode". What you want is the presentation to open in "Slide
Show Mode". This requires you to save it as a PPS (PowerPoint Slide Show).
You can do this by opening Windows Explorer, browsing to the folder, and
changing the file extension from PPT to PPS, or you could open the PPT file,
click "File", "Save as", change the "Save as type" dropdown to "PowerPoint
Slide Show (*.pps)". Then schedule this file to be run.
