Title Master

If you alter the Slide Master it does not always reflect in the Title Master.
Even if I have a Title Slide the option to alter the Title Master can be
greyed out. Please help. Thanks

If your looking how to activate the Title Master, then you need to View | Master
| Slide Master | Insert New Title Master | close the slide Master and save your
presentation as a template file if you intend to use the same master over again.

As Michael says, it sounds like you don't have a Title Master. You don't need
one to use the Title Slide layout. If you have only a Slide Master and you
change it, you should see the changes reflected in all slides, even those that
are regular slides with the Title Slide layout applied to them. Maybe you can
tell us more if your question is different than we understand.
