TOC not displaying 2nd level

Hello,

We are using Word 97 with Office 2000. We have a document that has a TOC
with 2 levels of headings. Most users when they open the document see both
levels, there is one user however who only sees the first level.

Is there a setting in Word that controls this? What could be wrong, the same
document when viewed by someone else is OK.

Thank you

Has the user perhaps changed the TOC 2 style to white/hidden? (The TOC
styles are set to automatically update by default.)

If this is changing on document open, check also the Tools > Templates and
Add-ins does not have 'Automatically update styles' checked.

If it is changing when the TOC is updated, then the problem could be with
the styles or levels assigned to the second level headings.
