Hello,
The document I am editing has a Table of Contents. The TOC in the
original copy has section headings such as "SECTION 2.....2-1". "2-1"
is a link that takes the reader to that page.
I modified the document and then selected "Update field" >> "Update
entire table". Now every section heading after "Section 1-1" lists the
beginning section page for the previous section. So now the Section 2
TOC entry reads "Section 2.....1-1". Clicking on "1-1" still takes the
user to the proper page, but I can't get it to read "2-1" while
maintaining the link (manually changing "1-1" to "2-1" destroys the
link). Yet, every subheading maintains its correct page number and
link.
The remaining TOC section headings read:
"Section 3.....2-1",
"Section 4.....3-1", etc.
I thank you for any assistance you are able to provide.
