Toggling b/tween 2 folders....

When I am scrolling through my contacts and new mail arrives in the inbox or
other designee, is there a way to toggle to the new mail without losing my
place in the the contact folders?

I the past, when new mail arrived, I open Outlook again and review the mail in
the inbox and then switched to the previously opened Outlook with my contacts
folder already opened.

I use Win XP and OL 2002.

Why not open your Inbox in a new Window? Right-click the Inbox and click
"Open in New Window".
